Re: “Stacking the Odds in Favor of Charter Schools

are you kidding me???? I am a Noble Street College prep Alumni and i have nothing but an immense gratitude and appreciation for my school. I waited for two years to get into the school and when I finally got in i was more than excited to go. Before Noble I attended a school where the education was crap and I was learning nothing i did not realize this until I attended Noble. The teaches at my old school did not really care and they were just there for a paycheck. When I attended noble yes it was hard and yes I struggled to make up for the time I was not there and yes there was times when i was so stressed that I cried b/c i felt it was too much. This was no excuse for them B.c thats what the real world is like and when you get a job your boss will not care if you slept well or if your tiered you have expectations to meet. While I attended Noble the quality of education was phenomenal the attention from all the staff and Mr.& Mrs. Milkie and Mr.Olson was amazing I as a student could not have asked for anything better. This was not just with me this was with every student that attended my school. Now, the discipline was really tough but it taught me so much now that I am in College. If ppl meaning parents want to complain about the discipline then they should discipline their kids at home so they dont act like fools in school and get demerits. Parents as well as students know what noble is like since the open house theirs no secrets. So if they felt they could not handle it then they should have opted for a public school where they wont learn anything and probably wont even go to college. As far as the 140$ for a class well they should have prioritized and not failed the course to begin with. These parents are ignorant to bash our schools like that. Just so every one knows 90% of noble kids go to and graduate college. Maybe they should care a bit more about their childs education and put them in a school like Noble and teach them that Failure is not an option that they shouldnt act like fools and get demerits or fail a class. Even now that I am in college I constantly visit my school counslors b/c even now they still help me wit everything that I need. So with this all being said Noble is an amazing school and parents as well as students should be grateful that their schools trully cares about them.
