Pescatore Palace

3400 N. River Road, Franklin Park

Planning to propose? Or just need a secluded place to cheat? Franklin Park’s Pescatore Palace rents out a romantically dim chamber, up a back staircase from the bar, far from prying eyes and private investigators. Called the Santa Romantica, it’s an intimate aerie for two, featuring its own sound system, where you can eat, lounge and canoodle. The room is not well advertised, so you’ll have to ask for it, and reservations entail a $50 charge—but the Palace will throw in this combo booth/boudoir for free if you reserve the larger banquet room for a wedding (or, we suppose, a divorce party).
