An Escada sample sale, deep discounts at Robin Richman, free shipping at Net-a-Porter, and more:
Today through Sunday Beta Boutique is holding a sample sale of women's clothing from designer label Escada. Prices run from $70 to $649 (up to 80 percent off) and sizes go up to 16. Note that it's at a site in River West, not the shop's permanent space.
Venus is holding a contest to give away the clothes singer Alison Mosshart wears in the video for Dead Weather 's "Treat Me Like Your Mother." E-mail firstname.lastname@example.org with your full name and the reasons you should get Mosshart's Diesel jacket, Hometown Heroes top, and Nudie jeans. I haven't seen the video, but Venus offers assurance that these are the "pre-blood soaked versions." (No info on size though.) Entries must be received by midnight tonight, Thursday, July 16.
Ongoing: Robin Richman is holding one of its highly anticipated sales: summer clothes and accessories are 50 to 60 percent off.
At designer Melissa Serpico-Kamhout's boutique/studio, clothes from her line, Serpico, are 40 to 50 percent off.
Finally, designer shopping site Net-a-Porter is offering free shipping on U.S. orders through July 29. Also, an addendum to my post about fashion-related phone apps earlier this week: the site now offers an iPhone app to make sure you don't miss out on any new Chloe skirts or Missoni dresses.
