Feel powerless in the face of the devastation caused by the earthquake in Haiti? Here's one small thing you can do. Superpublicist Ellen Malloy is gathering restaurants (not just her clients) who will offer diners the option to add $1 to their checks from Monday, January 18, through the 24th. At the end of the week the money collected will be donated to the Heartland Alliance, which is sending an aid team to the island next week.
The growing list of participating restaurants so far, after the jump:
Goose Island Brewpub
Old Town Social
Prairie Grass Cafe
UPDATE: our pal Helen over at Grub Street has a list of some other restaurants' relief efforts.
