Things are finally picking up around here!
Tonight, Parisian designers Marc Le Bihan (menswear-inspired women's togs) and Jean-Francois Mimilla (avant-garde jewelry) return to Robin Richman to show their fall and winter collections for pre-order.The store will hold a cocktail reception and trunk show from 4 to 8 PM.
Also tonight, Chicago designer Anastasia Chatzka hosts a party to show off her spring and summer collection. Everybody gets a free tote bag, and a free hair bow with purchase (while supplies last). The Mineral Owl will offer mini-facials and hand treatments. It's from 6 to 10 PM at Chatzka's shop, 1740 W. Division.
Web site CheekyChicago.com and Saks team up for "The Cheeky People of Style." Six stylish Chicagoans will model spring trends and handbag designer Rebecca Minkoff will present her spring collection. On Saturday, browse vintage clothing and over 4,000 yards of discounted remaindered fabrics at Dollparts, a one-day sale in the former Beta Boutique space, 2016 W. Concord Place. Vintage vendors include Koko-Rokoko, Tessaboo Vintage, and Axis of Evelyn. It's from 11 to 7.
On Saturday and Sunday, local scarf and shawl designer Alice Berry opens up her studio from 10 to 5.
