My view is obviously highly colored by the fact that I don't watch broadcast or cable TV—not trying to be like that, it's mostly to save money—or listen to the radio, but it seems to me that most of the media Quinn gets is in the form of articles about the perilous state of the Illinois budget and how much he plans to raise taxes. On some level, he was dealt a tough hand, taking over from an incompetent slacker governor (and that's being generous) with a feckless legislature in the midst of an economic crisis, but he arguably hasn't shown a great deal of decisive leadership, either.
In other words, I think Quinn's media firm is the least of his problems. Maybe it'll help, but he's in a really tough spot.
