The Magnificent Mile Lights Festival marks the annual occasion in which Michigan Avenue is adorned with Christmas lights. Who cares if it's not even Thanksgiving yet?
Indian Handcrafts, an Ontario sludge rock duo Kevin Warwick describes as perfect for the "ephedrine-wired renegade truck driver in cut-off denim and a Fu Manchu who lives inside all of us," opens for Red Fang at the Subterranean in Wicker Park. Black Tusk is also on the bill.
Local boy made good Kyle Kinane performs at the Up Comedy Club in Old Town. Hosted by Saurin Choksi and featuring Marty de Rosa.
