Looking for something to do today? Agenda's got you covered.

Lots of people stop cycling right around the first freeze and stay off their bikes roughly until May rolls around. The dedicated maniacs who bike through Chicago's winters are celebrated at Daley Plaza in a morning rally for Winter Bike to Work Day. Warm up with free Dark Matter coffee and cake from Eli's Cheesecake, and pick up a raffle ticket to win gift cards and whatnot.

Tony Adler recommends checking out Conversation on Grace, a preview of Anna Deavere Smith's forthcoming theater work On Grace. Smith describes the show as an exploration of the "unbidden in life: what comes to us in our life that we did not ask for or plan for." Catch it at Harris Theater for Music and Dance.

Ishmael Beah, author of A Long Way Gone: Memoirs of a Boy Soldier, discusses and signs his new book, The Radiance of Tomorrow: A Novel, at the Harold Washington Library Center.
