A Klingon Christmas Carol Agenda Closing (Theater and Galleries) Member Picks The Short List (Theater)

When: Thursdays-Sundays. Continues through Dec. 30 2012

If you're Trekkie enough to know what the "T" in "Captain James T. Kirk" stands for, this is for you. Commedia Beauregard delivers Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol, translated into the Klingon language and suffused with Klingon values. Scrooge substitute SQuja is visited by three visions who help him become the good, warlike Klingon he's avoided being his entire life. Can he change his Romulan ways and find his place in battle? With full headpieces and long fight scenes, this production takes the Klingon way seriously—to its detriment. While it may please Star Trek fanatics, it isn't for those of us who'd rather laugh at a Klingon than grunt with him. —Joshua Sumner
