Kraftwerk and the Electronic Revolution

Rated NR

This three-hour video documentary focuses on the German electronic band Kraftwerk but sets the stage for its emergence by meticulously tracing the history of Teutonic experimental rock (Can, Amon Duul, Tangerine Dream, Cluster, Neu!, etc). Producer Rob Johnstone mixes narration, talking heads, archival footage, and repurposed film clips to create a thorough but often tedious survey of the early electronic movement.
