A large-scale 1930 Fox western originally shot in a 70-millimeter wide-screen format known as the "Grandeur" process. Directed by Raoul Walsh, this story of a wagon train traveling from Saint Louis to Oregon not only has impressive landscape work but features a very young John Wayne in his first starring role. Marguerite Churchill is the romantic interest.
