One thing he started doing since separation: Tossing beanbag through astrolabe, scoring according to complicated point system. Oscar, the cat, fetches.

In his own words: "I only have two complaints about this place: it's cold and it's dark. It's got a dog's-eye view of the street--in fact, one day I looked out the window and there was a dog pissing against it. Dog was pissing right in my face. Damn! Next place I live will be aboveground!"
