Cal Skinner, the always provocative and un-politician-like former state legislator, uses his McHenry County Blog to dispense a bit of advice to Republican David McSweeney, who failed to unseat suburban Democrat Melissa Bean yesterday.

McSweeney, he says, should have pushed the antichoice position harder by getting permission to run "the ultrasound footage that was on the air in the abortion referendum in South Dakota."

Earth to Skinner: South Dakota's law, which would have enforced birth even in cases of rape and incest, was voted down yesterday.
