I saw Bjork play here on Saturday night—she was good and the stage was dazzling.
It’s been a while since I attended a big show like that, so forgive me if this phenomenon is commonplace, but what the fuck is up with people and their cell phones? Did people buy expensive tickets just so they could take shitty photos with their phones? Or send text messages to friends? Or call their friends? Seemed like everywhere I looked people were so busy finding a way to prove they were there that actually watching the concert was secondary. Isn’t a ticket stub a good enough souvenir?
