Deanna Isaacs reports:
Ouch! New York's Madison Square Garden Entertainment confirms that it has agreed to purchase one of our city's best-known landmarks, the Chicago Theatre. Restored to its original spendor 20 years ago with $21 million of public money, the theatre was handed over to the private sector in 2003 for a mere $3 million. But at least that buyer, TheatreDreams, was nominally based in Chicago. Details of the pending sale, which is awaiting city approval, have not been disclosed yet.
