Samantha Power at Harold Washington Library 3/12



Samantha Power, a Pulitzer Prize-winning writer and now former foreign policy adviser to Barack Obama, will give a free talk on Wednesday, March 12, at Harold Washington Library. Power will be discussing the role of international law and diplomacy in the protection of human rights as well as her new book, Chasing the Flame: Sergio Vieira de Mello and the Fight to Save the World, about a UN diplomat and humanitarian killed in a 2003 suicide bombing in Iraq. The talk is free, but reservations are required. Free copies of the book will be available.
