The decider

After the length and lack of depth of this primary season, I think Obama will pick up a few points from this decision:

Makes as much sense as any other metric, I guess.

The best things I read tonight:

"Is it possible for any mainstream media contributor to recognize that Clinton lost because of Iraq?"*

"I hereby call a moratorium on ever using 'Beautiful Day' as a song for anything again.  Municipal spelling bees use 'Beautiful Day'."

"McCain kicked off the general election season with the following inspirational words: 'Yes, we're tired. Yes, there's no relief. Yes, the Cylons keep coming after us time after time after time. And yes, we are still expected to do our jobs!'"

"Money. That's why she's staying in."

“'We stayed the course' ? Really, Hillary? We kind of went down that path before."

"PSSST! HEY! DAVID! Come close. Um...Applebees doesn't have salad bars. If you're going to use this as a vehicle to test someone's folksiness, at least know what the hell you're talking about."

*Update: This is just true. People who are obligated to make it more complicated than that in order to keep the bar high for their jobs will try to make it so, but everything else aside--what she should have done given the information, how brave or not it was for Obama to oppose it etc--people are pissed, on the whole, about the war and that goes double for Democratic primary voters. She doesn't support the war, Obama doesn't have enough of a foothold, game over, man.
