Though early voting has received far more attention, the Chicago Board of Elections has also instituted grace period voting, which allows you to cast a ballot and vote even if you failed to register by the October 7 deadline. All you have to do is bring two forms of ID, at least one of which shows your current address, to the election board headquarters at 69 W. Washington, #600, 312-269-7984. Be prepared to cast your vote at the same time.
Grace period voting runs through Tuesday, October 21; hours are 9 AM to 5 PM Monday through Saturday, 9 AM to noon Sunday. That's right, you can even vote on Sunday. But only once.
