Just a reminder that there are at least three ways to get into the Brookfield Zoo that don't require buying a ticket, breaking the law, or dating a zookeeper. First, admission is free on Tuesdays and Thursdays now through February; for the first two months of the new year, weekends will also be free. Active, reserve, and retired military personnel can get free admission at any time by presenting ID. Also don't forget the library's Great Kids Museum Passport, which is always available. Parking, however, is $8. To contact the zoo, call 708-688-8400. And please don't feed the animals.
