Happiness is a warm drone, especially in cold weather: there's nothing better for beating back the chill than a nice thick blanket of minimalist sound art. On Saturday local presenters Lampo bring Phill Niblock back to Chicago for a program of music and video at least two hours long--the only way they could make it better would be to provide you with hot cider and a cat.

Niblock has been plying his many trades--composition, photography, film, arts administration--for as long as 50 years, but incredibly his Chicago debut was only eight years ago. It was Lampo that brought him here then, too.
