A lot was made of how comedians couldn't joke after 9/11 until Gilbert Gottfriend told "The Aristocrats" joke at a roast for Hugh Hefner in New York City, in a moment memorialized in a documentary film. I've felt the same sort of chill among Cub fans -- until a fellow sufferer, my old pal Neil Tesser, sent me a link to this video today. I think it's been around already, courtesy of Bad Kermit at the aptly named hirejimessian.com Web site, so apologies if you've already seen it, but if not prepare to laugh -- perhaps for the first time since early October if you're a Cub fan. It's one of the few things I've seen where you can tell someone, "You'll laugh your ass off," and the person will still laugh his or her ass off. Besides, I've liked Bruno Ganz since seeing him in The American Friend back in the 70s. I won't say anything more about it, just enjoy it and say where you got it -- right here. Happy holidays, Cubs fans, and thank you, Bad Kermit. You are the Cubs fans' Santa Claus this year.
