For the hungover and the just plain hungry, several local restaurants are offering brunch on New Year’s Day. Except where noted, all menus are a la carte.

Angelina Ristorante Brunch fare like eggs Benedict, frittatas, French toast, salads, sandwiches, and pastas. For $20, patrons get an entree plus a bottomless mimosa, kir royale, or bellini (also available separately). 11 AM-4 PM, 3561 N. Broadway, 773-935-5933.

Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba A build-your-own Bloody Mary bar, cava cocktails, and brunch tapas like caramelized banana waffles, goat cheese crepes, and strawberry and cream panini, plus complimentary churros and fresh-squeezed OJ. Dunlays This “hangover brunch” includes blue cheese and chips, wild mushroom risotto fritters, oatmeal pancakes, burgers, and breakfast burritos, plus the “award-winning Dunlays Bloody Mary.” 10 AM-3 PM, 2600 N. Clark, 773-883-6000, and 3137 W. Logan, 773-227-2400.

Fiddlehead Cafe The regular brunch menu will be supplemented by specials like cinnamon rolls and coffee cake. Also on the menu: fried chicken and waffles, mushroom spinach crepes, and puff pastry with eggs, mushrooms, and truffled goat cheese. 9:30 AM-3 PM, 4600 N. Lincoln, 773-751-1500.

Frasca Pizzeria and Wine Bar Offerings include breakfast pizza, quiche, panini, and bottomless mimosas, and there’s a $5 kids’ menu. 10 AM-3 PM, 3358 N. Paulina, 773-248-5222.

The Greenhouse The brunch buffet features stations for fresh and smoked seafood, salad, antipasti and cheeses, omelets, carved meats, and food for kids. Seatings at 10:30 AM and 1 PM, Ritz-Carlton Chicago, 160 E. Pearson, 312-266-1000, $55, $27 kids 5-12, free for kids under 5.

Hot Chocolate Pajama wearing encouraged; specials include pork and eggs, macaroni and cheese, and sourdough flatbread with duck confit, caramelized red onions, and an egg. Drink specials include Bloody Marias and mandarin mimosas. 10 AM-3 PM, 1747 N. Damen, 773-489-1747.

Jake Melnick's Corner Tap Alcohol shows up here not only in the drink specials ($5 Bloody Marys, $3 Blue Moon on tap) but also in brunch items including bananas Foster French toast, Bloody Mary skirt steak and eggs, and Jack Daniels barbecue sliders. 10 AM-3 PM, 41 E. Superior, 312-266-0400.

NoMi This brunch buffet includes waffles with walnuts and maple syrup, eggs Benedict, omelets, cinnamon sticky buns, and cranberry scones. 11 AM-2:30 PM, 800 N. Michigan, 312-239-4030, $45, $25 kids 5-12.

Uncommon Ground on Clark Specials here include French toast with bourbon syrup, whipped maple butter, and toasted pecans, and a steak and eggs skillet with balsamic cipollini onions, roasted potatoes, and herb butter. On the drinks side of things, "Bed Head" is steamed chai with bourbon-honey liqueur, Frangelico and vanilla cream; "A Fresh Start" includes Veev Acai liqueur, pomegranate juice, orange juice, and St. Germain elderflower liqueur. 9 AM-3 PM, 3800 N.
