Five students from Kendall College, the International Culinary School at the Illinois Institute of Art--Chicago, and the International Culinary School at the Art Institutes International Minnesota compete in the "Almost Famous Chef" regional competition for a chance to proceed to the finals in Napa in March. You can taste the creations of the competitors and hear the winner announced at a reception afterwards (the competition itself isn't open to the public). 5:30-8 PM, Kendall College, 900 N. Goose Island brewer Greg Hall kicks off the Publican’s monthly beer dinner series with a Goose Island Beer Dinner, pairing Saison d’Espoir, Juliet, Madame Rose, Matilda, and Bourbon County Stout with dishes including mussels with orange and chile and game bird with blood sausage.
