The creative services broker Crowdspring may be the Internet's greatest gift to small business and emerging designers, or the death of the design profession--or both. My column on the Chicago-based start-up has touched an anti-spec-work nerve in the design community.  Crowdspring founders Ross Kimbarovsky and Mike Samson will discuss their business model at a Society of Typographic Arts dinner at 6:30 Thursday, February 26, at the Parthenon, 314 S. Halsted. It's open to the public by reservation ($35, $25 members, $10 students).
