Remember last week when I groused about Chicago's lack of a permanent indoor market like Cleveland's West Side Market? Well, Cecil at the Straight Dope took up the problem and laid strong odds against such a thing ever happening, and even stronger odds against its success if it did. Never say die!

Over in Food & Drink I grudgingly advocate the big ticket meatbombs at Meatloaf Bakery, sympathize with the trials of the Balkan-Italian wine bar Fontana Grill, and celebrate the only Nepali food within city limits at Chicago Curry House.

Finally, in the listings I join the growing backlash against the overrated, overcooked beef pucks at Five Guys Burgers & Fries.

To paraphrase the late, great hungryrabbi, "Sweetheart, I could sh*t a better burger."
