Last month guitarist Nels Cline--who was an acclaimed jazz guitarist long before he joined Wilco in early 2004--released a solo album called Coward (Cryptogramophone).
To be honest I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet, but thanks to an amusing "public service announcement" I'm aware that many copies of the disc have a minor physical defect in their packaging. (My copy turns out to be among them.)
I'll let you find out what the deal is from Nels himself.
