Every drink has a story behind it and the Reader's pick for best new cocktail is no different. Here's the recipe courtesy of Bar DeVille's Brad Bolt, for those weekend nights it's too crowded to get one at the bar.

The Songbird

1 1/2 oz. Martin Miller's Westbourne Strength gin

1 oz. St-Germain

3/4 oz. green Chartreuse

3/4 oz. fresh lemon juice

Combine ingredients in a shaker. Add ice and shake hard. Strain into a cocktail glass.
