At the Chicago edition of Cochon 555, a touring competition and dinner showcasing heritage-breed hogs, Graham Elliot Bowles (Graham Elliot), Chris Pandel (the Bristol), Stephen Dunne (Paramount Room, Volo), Patrick Sheerin (Signature Room), and Sam Burman (Bluprint) will each prepare a pig “from head to toe”; attendees and pro judges pick the winner. David Burke's Primehouse offers discounts and special toppings like lobster slaw on its burgers for "Burker Week," including a $5 burger made from beef dry aged for 40 days and the Foot Long Black Pepper Benton Bacon Burger ($12). Osteria Via Stato hosts a brewmaster dinner with chef David DiGregorio and Goose Island’s Gregory Hall. The five-course meal with Goose Island beer pairings includes panzanella and spring vegetables with 312 Urban Wheat Ale, braised pork shank with Matilda, a Belgian-style ale, and ricotta doughnuts with cinnamon sugar and oatmeal-stout gelato paired with Oatmeal Stout. 6:30 PM, 620 N.
