Northwestern University psychology professor J. Michael Bailey--who, according to his Scientific Blogging profile, studies "sexual orientation and related traits such as sex atypicality and gender identity"--has just published a two-part essay addressing the question of whether or not Michael Jackson was a child molester, and if he was, why that might have been. While it's complete speculation based on secondhand testimony, Bailey proposes some interesting theories.

For instance: "Am I seriously suggesting that Michael Jackson was a homosexual autohebephile whose erotic goals included resembling Peter Pan and having sex with pubescent boys? I sure am."

Mostly this post is just because I wanted a chance to share that line. Article's definitely worth a read, though.
