H&M has announced that its next designer collaboration will be with celebrated Parisian designer Sonia Rykiel.

Besides her signature red hair, Rykiel is known for her talent with knitwear—she's credited with inventing the shrunken silhouette of the poor-boy sweater in the 60s and plays with features like seams on the outside of a garment. If her work has not become as instantly recognizable as Chanel or Yves Saint Laurent, her designs are still unmistakably Parisian, combining glamour with playfulness.

Meanwhile, I'm still eagerly awaiting the arrival of Rodarte's mass-market collection for Target in December. If you're a fan of the Mulleavy sisters' work and are planning a trip to Paris this fall, you might plan a visit to the famous lifestyle boutique Colette, which is handing over its second-floor gallery to them to show off their "inspirations and creative process," according to the store's newsletter.

Mirroring the retail formula of the rest of the store—where you can find skateboards and notebooks alongside designer clothing—the space will be filled with items like their favorite books and DVDs and clothes and art by art-world celebrities Miranda July, Karen Kilimnik, and Raymond Pettibon, among others. It runs from October 5 to November 7.
