The delegates in Copenhagen to plug Chicago's bid to host the 2016 Olympics will be attired in clothing by local designers and companies.
Earlier this week WWD showed the women's suit designed by Maria Pinto, described as a "mix-and-match capsule collection [that] includes a sleek jacket, pants, blouse and dress all handcrafted in wool, cotton and silk charmeuse." Unfortunately the styling in the photo screams "flight attendant," but no doubt Mrs. Obama will put a personal stamp on the look.
Male delegates will be outfitted by one of President Obama's preferred suit makers, local menswear company Hart Schaffner Marx (which was saved from bankruptcy oblivion this summer after its assets were sold). Local tie and menswear designer Lee Allison also had a hand in the men's styling.
