At the Chicago Foodways Roundtable program The His­tory of the First Stomach: Presidential Dining From George Washington to Barack Obama, culinary historian Barbara Kuck discusses the eating habits of U.S. presidents and their families. Documents and objects from the Szathmary Culinary Arts Collection, includ­ing a collection of presidential autographs, will be on display. 10 AM, Kendall College, 900 N. It's the 11th annual Open That Bottle Night, created to give people a reason to open that special bottle of wine they've been saving, and several restaurants—including Frasca Pizzeria and Wine Bar, Dunlays on the Square, Smoke Daddy, Red Kiva, and D.O.C. Wine Bar—are doing away with corkage fees for the evening and offering certain bottles at a 50 percent discount.

The 11th annual WingFest includes all-you-can-eat wings from more than 30 restaurants, including Mahoney’s Pub & Grille, High Dive, Chicago Joe’s, and Gators Wing Shack, plus live music by Cadillac Dave & His Chicago Redhots. A VIP package includes drinks, parking, and access to a VIP area. Proceeds benefit Chicago Neighbors United. 1-6 PM, Bailey Auditorium, 1340 W. Washington, $24, $50 VIP, 21+.

Sheffield's hosts a tour of Lunar and Two Brothers breweries, starting with brunch at the Lakeview location at 12:30 PM. Participants will then take a bus to both the breweries, and end with dinner at the newish River Grove Sheffield's. The bus will arrive back at the Lakeview location at 7 PM. 12:30-7 PM, 3258 N. Rock Bottom brewers Pete Crowley and Davin Bartosch pair their beers with chef Christopher McCoy’s food at the Real Ale Brewer’s Dinner. The six courses include salmon with lemon-basil creme and a bottle-conditioned Belgian-style wit bier; sea bass with cask-conditioned Scottish ale; rabbit with cask-conditioned, sage-spiced red ale; and blackberry-infused ice cream on crepes with a brandy and bourbon sugar reduction paired with bourbon oatmeal stout. 6 PM, Rock Bottom Brewery, 1 W.
