Floriole Cafe & Bakery opened in Lincoln Park Friday, offering soups, salads, and sandwiches in addition to macaroons, sea salt caramels, croissants, scones, quiche, and more from Sandra Holl, who's also still peddling her wares at Green City Market.
A downtown location of the Edgebrook Brazilian-style restaurant Al Primo Canto opened last week as well, offering an all-you-can-eat "endless feast" of Italian-influenced appetizers, salads, and pastas along with specialty grilled chicken, lamb, and beef for $29.95; an a la carte menu is also available. It’s BYO through May.
Delhi 6, a new North Center restaurant and boutique named after a Bollywood movie, offers a menu of Indian street food like chaat and puri, "fusion" sandwiches and wraps, and a daily special, all for under $10. It’s BYO in addition to offering a range of loose-leaf teas and chais. The cafe is hosting a free Bollywood movie night with food specials on Thursday, April 22, from 6:30-9:30 PM.
Accanto, a high-end Italian restaurant featuring the cuisine of Milan native Domenico Acampora, has opened in the front of the Logan Square space housing Lucky Vito’s Pizzeria, which will continue to offer carry-out from the back.
Got Spaghetti? opened in Norwood Park in the former Rusty Armadillo space in late March, offering mix-and-match pastas and traditional Italian dishes like sausage and peppers and chicken Vesuvio. There's a rooftop patio and occasional live music; on Thursdays a 14-inch pizza is $5.
