Tonight at 8 PM, Trap Door Theatre
presents a free performance of Dorota Maslowska's play A Couple of Poor, Polish-Speaking Romanians
at the University of Chicago's FXK Theater
(5706 S. University, 3rd floor). Through the central figures—two drug-addled young Poles who hitchhike through the countryside pretending to be poor Romanians—Maslowska raises questions about class, identity, and xenophobia. Max Truax directs, and the Renaissance Society and University Theater host. Trap Tour will soon take Maslowska's show to Poland and Romania.
