City Provisions’ first farm dinner of the year, at Nichols Farm in Marengo, Illinois, features Three Floyds beers. Tickets include snacks and beer on the bus ride, a tour of the farm, and a five-course meal with more beer, paired to the courses. Chicago Craft Beer Week kicks off today with parties at Marion Street Cheese Market and the Map Room, continuing with events and tastings at Moonshine, Small Bar, Rock Bottom, Guthries Tavern, the Fountainhead, and other spots. It wraps up Saturday with the annual Beerfly Alleyfight and a party at Half Acre.
Longman & Eagle hosts a Goose Island beer dinner featuring fried Ipswich clam bellies with Demolition Ale, seared Maine scallops with Sofie, grilled foie gras with pickled rhubarb and Juliet, and crepinette with grits and Pere Jacques.
