I wasn't watching the Stanley Cup (not a hockey fan, mostly from lack of exposure; we did have hockey in southwestern Virginia when I was growing up, but it looked like this), but I did have live updates on in a browser window.
But I heard fireworks even before the goal registered online. Nicely done, people not far from my apartment.
(Technically the people at the corner bar beat them, but I'm more impressed by the speed with the fireworks.)
Helicopter's out in West Town, so celebrate safe! And don't turn over my fucking car.
Update: Speaking of hockey, I finally figured out why that Pronger poster got under my skin: because it's the kind of dumb, childish thing Jay Mariotti would do, and I've been enjoying the peace and quiet.
