At POP! Fest, Rock Bottom Brewery unveils what it claims is the “world’s first beer made from popcorn,” POP! Popcorn Malt Liquor, developed by brewmaster Davin Bartosh. Rock Bottom and breweries including Goose Island and Metropolitan Brewing will pair their own beers with popcorn from Schiller Park’s Popcorn Palace. Formerly the Belmont Arts and Music Festival, the Roscoe Village Burger Fest has devoted itself to the burger: vendors include The Bad Apple, The Village Tap, and Goose Island Brewpub. The folks behind Rogers Park’s new Glenwood Sunday Market organize the Market for All Fundraiser, proceeds from which will subsidize fresh produce and healthy food for low-income shoppers at the market.
