Are Lollapalooza's radius clauses really putting the squeeze on the number of quality shows the city can host in the summer and fall? It seems possible, considering the dropoff in really great show announcements in recent weeks—and the highlights mostly aren't acts you'd normally see at Lollapalooza anyway.

That being said, there are a handful of notables that warrant attention, including shows by Richard Buckner and the Rural Alberta Advantage at Schubas, God Bullies at the Empty Bottle, Ratatat at Metro, shows by Bonnie "Prince" Billy and Dungen at Lincoln Hall, King Khan & the Shrines at Bottom Lounge, and Omar Rodriguez-Lopez featuring Ximena Sarinana at Congress Theater.

Evanston's SPACE has also announced several late September/October shows, including Leo Kottke, Graham Parker, and Stanton Moore featuring Anders Osborne.
