Accomplished and aspiring fashion professionals can network tonight at the Chicago Fashion Foundation's Little Black Dress party. It's from 7 to 10 at Casey Moran's, 3660 N. Clark. Admission is $20 if you're a member or wearing an LBD; otherwise it's $25. Proceeds benefit the CFF.

On Friday City Soles holds its popular nickel sale—buy one pair of shoes, get the other for five cents—at 1566 N. Damen from 10 AM to 10 PM.

Friday evening, designers Kate Boggiano, Audey, Anna Hovet, and Objets d'Envy as well as the ColeHaddon Showroom get together for the Pretty in Pilsen sale. It's from 5:30 to 8:30 at 2150 S. Canalport. RSVP to kate@kateboggiano.com or call 773-474-7987.

On Saturday the Galaxie, an Avondale art center, is holding a garage sale featuring vintage clothes as well as antiques, art supplied, housewares, and more. It's at 2603 W. Barry from 9 AM to 3 PM.

Any time food and fashion get together is a good day in my book. Every Sunday from July 11 through August 8, buy something at West Loop boutique Fix and get 15 percent off brunch at the Publican. Or have brunch at the Publican and get 15 percent off an item at Fix.

Also on Sunday, vintage clothing boutique the Sometimes Store holds a belated Independence Day event, America the Bootyful. Nothing's over $20, the veggie dogs are $1, and the invite promises "hot people." It's from noon to 9 PM (the party starts at 6) at 632 W. Addison.

Designer Lara Miller's Queen of Hearts sale is Sunday from noon to 6 PM at 931 W. Cornelia. Everything is 30 to 80 percent off, plus you can get an additional discount by rolling dice or picking a card.

On Monday Jillian Schnell and Jazmin Rodriguez, aka Virtue for the Vicious, team up for WINK! A Fashion Show, with clothing "inspired by the artists of the 1950s and 60s who celebrated the juxtaposition of glamour and moxie, such as Andy Warhol and Alberto Vargas." It's at Debonair Social Club, 1575 N. Milwaukee, at 10:30 PM (doors at 10). There's no cover if you RSVP to anabellesaid@gmail.com.
