Calvin Klein joins the pop-up shop trend with a temporary store (in conjunction with Carson Pirie Scott) at 116 W. Hubbard featuring men's and women's fall clothing. Spend $100 and you'll get a special gift, and a portion of the proceeds go to the Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation. It's open Friday from 11 AM to 8 PM; for the rest of the week it'll be open 11 to 5 on Saturday, and 11 to 6 Monday through Friday.

On Thursday night Bucktown boutique p45 (1643 N. Damen) holds a reception for designer Kal Reiman to present his fall collection. It's from 5 to 8 PM; he'll also hang out there all day Friday and Saturday.

On Friday evening jewelry designer Ellie Thompson teams up with custom clothing designer Thierry Rogers for SOiree CHICago, a fashion show and cocktail party. It's from 6 to 9 PM at Moka Gallery, 212 2112 W. Belmont; the fashion show starts at 7. RSVP to ellie@ellieco.com or thierry@thierryroger.com.

Also on Friday, Collaboraction and the Flat Iron Artists' Association host the first annual Fashion Mash. The event includes sales and trunk shows from local boutiques, a "Fashion Aquarium" featuring a "voyeur fashion prep lounge," and at 10 PM a Fashion Flash Mob Procession of models through the Six Corners, ending at Double Door for a runway show a half-hour later. It's from 6 to 10 PM at the Flat Iron Arts Building, 1579 N. Milwaukee. Admission is $10, which includes appetizers, drinks, and admission to the Double Door at the after party at Debonair Social Club.

In the West Loop, local designers and vintage vendors show their wares at Style Souk Chicago. The pop-up event opens Friday with a preview from 6 to 9 PM and then runs Saturday and Sunday from 11 AM to 5 PM. It's at 217 N. Carpenter.
