This week's List previews plenty of good music happening this weekend, including Blonde Redhead, Deerhunter, a pair of Gories shows, the Legendary Pink Dots, and Suffocation, and in Sharp Darts Miles Raymer calls out Pelican's ten-year anniversary show at Bottom Lounge on Saturday. But as always, there's more—shows the Reader couldn't find room to write up but that still deserve special attention.

TV Ghost, Running, and Loose Dudes play the Hideout tonight to celebrate the release of Running's LP as well as their split seven-inch with Loose Dudes. Also tonight, experimental trio Auris welcomes composer, improviser, and percussionist Gino Robair into the fold for a performance at the avant-garde venue Enemy in Wicker Park.

On Saturday local punks the Arrivals play a record-release show at Beat Kitchen with an awesome opening lineup that includes the Intelligence and Toys That Kill. Reggie's Rock Club hosts a night of grind and deathcore with Cattle Decapitation, Devourment, Knights of the Abyss, and others. And artsy local drone duo White/Light plays a free show at the Whistler in Logan Square.

Electro-rock two-piece Phantogram and Josiah Wolf play Lincoln Hall on Sunday night (projections and/or light show guaranteed). Pittsburgh-based prepared-piano specialist Melissa St. Pierre visits Experimental Sound Studio with Sam Pace and Jesse Stiles on Sunday afternoon. And fledgling record emporium Saki continues its impressive string of free in-store performances with the Blue Ribbon Glee Club and the Dust Bunnies.
