At tonight’s four-course Taste of Michigan dinner, the Publican serves a menu developed after a recent weekend trip to the state by its culinary team, who sampled local produce and visited New Holland Brewing Company. Managers from Big Star teamed up with Goose Island head brewer Jared Rouben to produce Deguello, a hoppy ale with notes of pine and citrus, in celebration of the taco joint’s first anniversary (deguello was a Mexican battle cry at the Alamo, as well as the name of ZZ Top's sixth album).
