I'm a bit perplexed that John Kass wrote "the three serious contenders are Rahm Emanuel, Gery Chico and state Sen. James T. Meeks" on the 24th and then framed Miguel del Valle, a 20-year state senator-turned city clerk (a relatively thankless but important job), as an "also" in a prominent interview with the mayoral candidate—since it seems to be sort of self-generating a narrative in which "serious" contenders are by definition the ones with the most money and power. But since del Valle is arguably a not-also who's arguably gotten also-level coverage, I'll take it.
Whatever, I'm probably nitpicking. It's worth a read.
