Several events are happening Friday night:
Jewelry boutique Alexis Bittar is now in the space on Damen that formerly housed Gem, and there's an opening party on Friday to celebrate. Bittar himself will be on hand, as well as Rima Suqi, author of America's Fashion Designers at Home. It's from 6 to 9 PM at 1710 N. Damen. RSVP to RSVP@alexisbittar.com.
French designers Marc Le Bihan and Jean-Francois Mimilla make their annual pilgrimage to Robin Richman to show off their spring collections and preview the fall ones. They'll be around from 4 to 8 PM and will be offering 15 percent off all orders (valid only during the event).
Garfield Park Conservatory is the site of Fleurotica, a fashion show consisting of clothing made entirely out of blooms. Tickets will set you back $175 (they include cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, a seat at the runway show, coat check, and valet parking) but based on images from last year, there are some pretty amazing pieces. It's from 6:30 to 10 PM at the conservatory, 300 N. Central Park. Tickets are available online.
On Saturday and Sunday, several Division Street boutiques are offering up to 80 percent off in honor of March Madness. Those participating include Mulberry & Me (2019 W. Division), Penelope's (1913 W. Division), and Trillium (1744 W. Division)
