The LA-based website Closet Visit
takes the street-style blog one step further, delving into subjects' actual wardrobes for a more panoramic view of their talent for piecing together striking ensembles. The blogger behind it, artist Jeana Sohn, has a knack for light-handed photo styling herself, artfully framing her subjects—not just the women themselves but items such as a stack of striped shirts or a jumble of jewelry.
Not surprisingly, the women Sohn profiles tend to have creative jobs—gallery owner, film director, stylist—and skill with interior design as well: half the fun is checking out their homes in the background. This being southern California, lush backyards and other outside spaces are often used as sets.
Scrolling through the images, I'm simultaneously jealous and inspired—which is the appeal of any successful personal-style blog.
