Celebrating the Reader's New Look | Bleader

As you might have heard, the Reader is getting a new look and adding new content. The redesigned paper hits the streets this Thursday (or Wednesday, if you know where to look). Keep an eye out for it; Reader newsies will hand out copies of the paper throughout the day tomorrow through Friday.

To celebrate the launch, we're staging pop-up events around the city from Wednesday to Friday. You can get free stuff—and pick up the new Reader—at these locations:

Provenance Food & Wine (2312 W. Leland) in Lincoln Square will be serving free Jo Snow cones on Wednesday starting at 5 PM.
• Tamalli Space Charros food truck will be handing out free surprise treats in the Loop at Clinton and Lake. Thursday, time TBA; follow @tamalespaceship on Twitter for more information.
• The Gene Siskel Film Center (164 N. State) will give away free passes at 5 PM Thursday.
Bagel on Damen’s two locations (1262 N. Damen and 4639 N. Damen) are giving away free bagels on Friday beginning at 8 AM.
• At Open Books (213 W. Institute in River North) you can fill a bag with books for $20 at and get free treats from Gaztro-Wagon food truck starting at noon on Friday.
• Gaztro-Wagon and the Windy City Rollers will both be at Pioneer Plaza at 5:30 PM Friday; the Rollers perform and give away tickets to their next bout, May 21.

Our website will have more information and updates on events, giveaways, and what to expect in the new Reader throughout the week.
