Friday at 3 PM the 900 Shops is celebrating the royal nuptials with a "Crumpets and Couture" event at the Four Seasons, 120 E. Delaware, featuring London-based labels Karen Millen, Burberry, and L.K. Bennett. Guests can partake in an English tea while viewing a recorded broadcast of the wedding, and there will also be a raffle for some fashion- and beauty-related items and services. On Friday night, local designer Michelle Tan holds a launch party to celebrate her spring line of handbags, and there will also be a trunk show of Kane Jewelry. It's at Tan's Bucktown boutique, 1872 N. Damen, from 6 to 10 PM.
On Saturday, local designer Horacio Nieto presents his fall/winter 2011 collection of women's clothing at an event called "Mining the Ming Dynasty." Tickets are $30, which include a cocktail reception and afterparty. The event starts at 7 PM and the fashion show is at 7:45 at Loft on Lake, 1366 W. Lake.
Saturday and Sunday, Vintage Heaven once again hosts a multivendor sale at Heaven Gallery, 1550 N. Milwaukee (second floor). It's from noon to 6 PM both days.
