The list of finalists for the first annual Indie Booksellers Choice Awards was announced today, and it includes Chicago's own Adam Levin for his massive debut novel, The Instructions, published by McSweeney's.

Levin curated the Reader's annual Pure Fiction issue in December. You can read an excerpt from The Instructions, which was featured in our 2010 fall books issue, here.
