The Genesis Growers
spring Community Supported Agriculture vegetable deliveries are well on their way with the help of their crop-protecting hoop houses. To fill those boxes farmer Vicki Westerhoff and her staff grow more than 250 certified organic varieties of vegetables 70 miles south of the city in Saint Anne, Illinois.
As if that much variety isn't enough, the Genesis Growers CSA business plan includes a cooperative agreement with farm partners
to include fruit and other farm products that are delivered over a nine-month span (spring, summer, and fall options) with ten drop-offs in the city and more in the suburbs.
Not sold on the idea of a predetermined large box of veggies? The farm sells a la carte at the Green City and Oak Park farmers' markets.
