Each week we ask you to show us something. This week it's Kathryn Cole's DRESSING ROOM. Got something to show us? showus@chicagoreader.com

A native Australian, Cole has lived in the U.S. for four years. She's spent those years as one of the divas at the Kit Kat Lounge & Supper Club, where she performs as any one of a roster of characters: "I do Madonna. I do Cher. Kylie. Lady Gaga. Gwen Stefani."

Cole says that when she's not performing—she's at Kit Kat about ten days a month—she's an "image consultant" who helps clients dress and advises on interiors.

Of course, her job at Kit Kat is about image development, too, but the creative process there can be a little more cramped. The space that she and the other performers have to prepare in, Cole says, is "the size of a dog kennel. It's very tiny.

"If you were thinking it was some great big fabulous closet," she says, "then you're sadly mistaken."
